Hemoglobin levels differ from male and female. The reduced level of red blood cells in our body is termed as Anemia. The level of this count should be above13.5gram/100ml in men and below 18gm/dl and above 12.0gram/100ml and below16gm/dl in women. The new born babies contain nearly 17 to 22gm/dl. This can be diagnosed with the help of blood test. The obstruction of the life span of red blood cells may be the main cause of anemia or even the loss of blood in our body also leads to anemia. Low hemoglobin levels are one of the common problems faced by many common people today. Hemoglobin is a protein that carries oxygen which is present in the red blood cells to various other parts of the body where ever necessary. Low hemoglobin levels may not support the oxygen to supply to other parts of the body. The inadequate supply of oxygen in turn stops the other parts to function properly. One of the most common symptom observed in a person with low hemoglobin levels is fatigue. They may tired very soon because of the lack of supply of oxygen. The person may even faint with a change in color of skin and he may go breathless. The pressure on heart builds up to pump more oxygen that is required by the body. Finally the person may develop diseases related to heart. Deficiency of iron, folate and vitamin B12 cause low hemoglobin levels. The symptoms may differ from person to person. Anemia is said to be the major cause. The person may also feel dizziness and lack of concentration in carrying out any work. Alcohol consumption also leads to low level of hemoglobins in a persons body.
A person can improve his hemoglobin levels by adding a balanced food rich in all vitamins and nutrients required by the body. Fresh fruits and vegetables like green leafy vegetables, whole wheat, brown rice, cheries, dried peas, raisins and beans can be added to your regular diet to increase the levels. Along with the consumption of above foods, your regular diet should include milk or milk produts and adequate protein. It is better to avoid medication unless it is compulsory. In the initial stages you can add supplements, but later on it is better to gain all the nutrients and minerals naturally by consuming iron rich foods. Every person's diet should be rich in all nutrients to enjoy a healthy life for a long time. To define Hemoglobin, the best answer is that hemoglobin is oxygen which is responsible for carrying the protein present in the red blood cells. As we know the oxygen to the other parts of body is circulated through blood itself. The blood binds the molecules of oxygen from itself and takes it to those parts of body where oxygen is necessary. So in other words we may hemoglobin is an essential ingredient for our body. The Low Hemoglobin Levels will not provide us the necessary oxygen which will lead to deficiency of oxygen in our body for circulation.
The functioning of the body part may be effected, which also leads to their bad functioning by having not sufficient oxygen. Fatigue is the most common symptom shown by person suffering from low level of hemoglobin. The person used to be tired early because they are not having oxygen through blood. So the person suffering from Low Hemoglobin Levels should avoid doing the physical work. Fainting and short ness of breath along with loss of normal skin are other symptoms arises during the low level of hemoglobin in a person. The heart need to work harder in case of low level hemoglobin. It has to circulate more blood to send oxygen to appropriate part of the body. This low level of hemoglobin may also leads to heart disease like heart attack etc.
In the case you hemoglobin is lower than your range according to your age group and gender, it may cause due to loss of nutritional food. Deficiency of iron leads to low level of hemoglobin. Vitamin B12 and folate deficiency also lead to low level of hemoglobin. Low level of hemoglobin may be corrected by balanced diet of food. The person should consume the food containing vitamin 12, iron and folic acid. Even in the case person does not any improvement. The dosage of above things would give him or her improvement immediately. |

Hemoglobin is basically oxygen carrying pigment and predominant protein in the red blood cells. It forms an unstable reversible bond with oxygen. In its oxygenated it is called ox hemoglobin and is purple blue in colour. The red coloring matter of the red blood called cupules of vertebrates is a protein yielding hemoglobin on hydrolyses it carries oxygen from lungs to tissue and carbon di-oxide from tissue to lungs. Hemoglobin is an iron containing protein present in the blood of many animals.

Hemoglobin is a protein that carries iron and is present in our red blood cells. Hemoglobin combines with oxygen and forms loose compound which is named as oxyhemoglobin and the process is named as oxygenation. The average amount of hemoglobin that should be present in females counts between 12 and 16 grams where as in males it should be between 14 and 18 grams. The count can be bit less in children. The key function of hemoglobin is to transport the oxygen from lungs to various other ...
